On November 6, 2024, YVE Ghana organized an eco-tourism activity in the Ho Municipality, bringing together tour guides from Likpe, Tokokoe, and Amedzofe. The event, part of the second phase of the Eco-Conservation Initiative project, focused on showcasing and promoting the rich natural and cultural attractions in the project communities. It aimed to build local capacity for sustainable tourism and strengthen community-led conservation efforts.

From April 1st to 5th, 2024, YVE Ghana organized a training in Likpe Mate for farmers from Likpe and Tokokoe. Held under the Eco-conservative Initiative project and the Strengthen the Roots programme, with support from A Rocha Ghana and WACSI, the session aimed to build farmers’ capacity in sustainable agriculture and climate resilience. It fostered knowledge sharing and empowered communities to adopt eco-friendly farming practices.

On November 26, 2023, YVE Ghana held a durbar in Likpe Mate under the theme “Promoting Natural Heritage, a Commitment to Sustainable Communities.” The event engaged community members in the first phase of the Eco-Conservation Initiative Project to discuss the importance of preserving natural heritage and ensure the project remains community-centered for lasting sustainable development.

On October 12, 2023, YVE Ghana launched the Eco-Conservative Initiative project in Ho with stakeholders from Tokokoe and Likpe communities, Forestry Commission, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, and Fidep Foundation. The event highlighted the importance of promoting natural heritage for sustainable community development and strengthened collaboration to ensure the project remains community-centered.
